Project Overview
Design Wars is an internal creative challenge that pits Ingenuity designers against each other in a 1v1 showdown. Inspired by the dynamic visuals of comic books and the competitive energy of Marvel Rivals, the project transforms design into a playful battle of creativity, skill, and individual expression.
The branding embraces bold graphics, dramatic compositions, and comic-inspired visual elements to capture the intensity of a head-to-head matchup, turning an internal activity into an engaging celebration of creativity.
The contests were live streamed for everyone in the company to watch.
Challenge
As Head of Design, I wanted to introduce initiatives that would make design more accessible across the company, encouraging the team to engage with the creative process and learn through participation. The challenge was to build a distinctive identity for a 1v1 design showdown from scratch, translating the energy of comic books and Marvel Rivals into a fun, competitive experience that encouraged creativity and made design education engaging for the wider team.
Results
A bold, comic-inspired identity that gives Design Wars its own personality, framing an internal design challenge as a high-energy creative showdown which made this event a bonding moment for the team members.
